- After it resets at 5 PM, it starts capturing new results from that time until the next day at 5 PM. That is how the next day’s winners are decided and the cycle continues.
Think of the leaderboard like a neat list on a classroom wall. At a set time 5PM, the teacher checks the list, identifies the Number 1 as the winner, gives the prize, wipes the board clean, and starts recording results for the next day.
The leaderboard is not just a scoreboard. It is like the result display engine of the whole game. Every column on it, contributes to your total points. Some columns give a small push. If you log in every day, you are automatically sure of 45 points that will be added whenever you take a quiz that day or the following day. If you miss a day, the bonus drops to 0. When you start logging in again every day, it goes back to 45.

Referral Points (Max 40)
Every player has a referral link inside their dashboard. This link is like your personal invitation card. When you share it with friends and family and they register with it, you earn 8 points for each person. Every referral you get adds 8 points to your referral points.
Now on the Leaderboard table, your referral points adds as a bonus points called the Referral Bonus. However there is a rule. Only 40 points maximum from your referral points can count on the leaderboard. That means, even if you have referred 7 persons and have 56 points on your dashboard, Only 40 points would count as your Referral Bonus. This is to make sure that winning don’t fully depend on how many friends you bring, but also how well you play.
Example:
- Player A refers 3 people → 3 × 8 = 24 points becomes his referral bonus.
- Player B refers 7 people → 7 × 8 = 56 point , but his referral bonus is 40 points.
Strategy here
Refer your friends to the platform using your referral link. That way, you always get maximum of 40 points added to your points anytime you play a quiz.
Quiz Score
This column is the easiest to understand. It is simply the number of questions you answer correctly. Every correct answer gives you 4 point.
In some categories, you are to play two quizzes per session. Your scores from Quiz 1 and Quiz 2 are added together to give your Quiz Score.

You pick the General Knowledge category. You choose Basic English and Basic Mathematics.
- In English you score 20.
- In Mathematics you score 25.
Your Quiz Score = 20 + 25 = 45 points.

Efficiency Bonus (Up to 195 Points)
The Efficiency Bonus is the game maker. It adds life and dynamism to the game so it never gets predictable. The Efficiency Bonus is calculated based on how fast and how accurate you are in any given quiz session. The highest possible bonus is 195 points.
The system uses a complex mathematical model we developed to calculate how quickly you finish, how accurate you are, and then gives you a score within the bonus range. Below is an overview of how it awards scores per play session.
- Fast + Mostly Accurate → Very high Efficiency Bonus
- Fast + Mostly Inaccurate → Low Efficiency Bonus
- Slow + Mostly Accurate → Low Efficiency Bonus
- Slow + Mostly Inaccurate→ Very low Efficiency Bonus
Case Examples:
- Player A plays very fast and gets many answers correct → Efficiency Bonus close to 195.
- Player B plays very fast but gets most questions wrong → Efficiency Bonus is low.
- Player C plays very slow but gets most questions right → Efficiency Bonus is also low.
- Player D plays very slow and gets many questions wrong → Efficiency Bonus is near 0.
Think of this like running a race while carrying eggs on a spoon. If you run too fast and drop eggs, you lose. If you walk too slowly, others reach the finish line first. The best winners are fast enough to finish early and careful enough not to drop much eggs.
Important Note: No player can practically get the full 195 points Efficiency Bonus because that would mean answering every question correctly in 0 seconds, which is impossible.

Final Point — Where Everything Comes Together
The Final Point is your total score after adding up all your columns. It is the number that finally decides where you rank on the leaderboard.
Formula in simple words:
Final Point = Daily Login Bonus + Referral Points + Quiz Score + Efficiency Bonus
Example: If a player has
- Daily login bonus = 45
- 3 referrals = 24
- Quiz score = 50
- Efficiency bonus = 90
Total Final Point = 209
That total is what puts you at your exact spot on the leaderboard. The player with the highest Final Point at 5 PM wins that day.
Names that appear on the Leaderboard.
Only the top 10 scorer of each category appear on the leaderboard per day. If your score is not among the top 10, it would only appear on the Result section of your dashboard and not on the leaderboard. To appear on the leaderboard, try your best to be the top 10 for the day. And to win the cash price, try your best to be the number 1 per category on the leaderboard per day.
You can cant win a quiz more than once.
Once you become the winner of any given quiz or pair of quizzes, our system wont allow you take that quiz again. This is to allow others the opportunity to also become winners.
Example: If you choose to play English and Mathematics from the General Questions category and you win, the system will not allow you win take English and Mathematics again, however you can take other quizzes in that same category like , History Sports etc.
Other Contributing Factors to Winning
Time Submitted — The Tie Breaker
Sometimes, two players may end up with the exact same Final Point. What happens then? The system checks who submitted earlier. The person who finished and submitted first becomes the winner.
Remember, the scoring for a day starts at 5 PM the previous day and ends at 5 PM of the current day. If you and another player both get 255 points, but you clicked “submit” at 2:59 PM while the other clicked at 3:02 PM, you win.
Result Intake
Each quiz category on ZFRICA Answer & Win allows you up to three attempts per day. You can replay that same category, for example, General Knowledge, three times to improve your score. Once you’ve used those three tries, that category locks automatically until the next day.
However, once one category locks, the day isn’t over for you. You can still play in other open categories like Professional Skills, Brand Awareness, or WAEC/JAMB, each with its own independent leaderboard and cash-winning opportunity.
Quick Note : Considering the fact that you can attempt any given category three times per day, kindly note that only your last attempt result is recorded on the leaderboard. In any given category, the result of each attempt you make and submit always replaces the previous result you had on the leaderboard.
If your earlier attempt per category produced a better score but you performed lower in your second or final attempt, the system will automatically replace your higher result with the latest low one and vice versa. This means every retry should be thoughtful and strategic, not random or rushed.
